June 23 A bonfire celebration of the Night of San Juan in Los Alcázares
The Night of Fire on the seafront in the centre of Los Alcázares
Every 23rd June, around the time that the summer solstice marks the longest days of the year, Spain lights up for one of its most mystical and meaningful festivals: La Noche de San Juan (Saint John’s Eve). With fire, sea, music and symbolism, the night brings together pagan and Christian traditions with the spiritual and the festive. Celebrated in more than 300 towns across the country, this age-old Spanish tradition continues to unite generations under the stars.
Los Alcázares, of course, is no exception, and in 2026 an evening of conviviality and music is planned in the Plaza de Espejo as the sun goes down and night falls.
The entertainment in the Plaza del Espejo, right next to one of the most popular beaches in the town, begins at 18.00 with games and activities for children, and the live music then begins at 20.00 with Rock Experience. They are followed by Adrián Ruiz at 21.30 and a DJ show at 23.00, complete with animation entitled "La Leyenda Loka".
All this before the ceremonial bonfire is lit at midnight – under the supervision of the local police force and fire brigade, of course!
Attendance at this night of fun and festivity is completely free of charge.
