Full programme for the 2026 San Javier Jazz Festival
Pat Metheny, Ludovico Beier, Camille Thurman, Young Gun Silver Fox, The Brand New Heavies and Carles Benavent top the bill at the 2026 San Javier Jazz Festival
The full line-up has been confirmed for the 28th edition of the San Javier Jazz festival, a truly international event which takes place this year with 15 concerts between June 26 and July 19.

Friday June 26: Soulift in a free concert in the Plaza de España in San Javier, starting at 22.00.
Saturday June 27: American singer and pianist Nicole Zuraitis, a Grammy winner in 2024 for her sixth album “How Love Begins”, starts of a double bill completed by the British acid jazz formation The Brand New Heavies at the auditorium in Parque Almansa. Wednesday July 1: Another double bill features the tenor sax of Joe Lovano, raccompanied by the Antonio Farao Trio and returning to San Javier after an absence of 18 years to present a tribute to the late, great Marvin Gaye, and José James featuring vocalist China Moses. Starts 21.30, tickets 30 euros.
Friday July 3: Spanish jazz guitarist Ximo Tebar returns to San Javier with a new band, while the French/Dominican singer Cyrille Aimée performs her French melodies with Caribbean rhythms. Starts 21.30, tickets 20 euros.
Saturday July 4: Camille Thurman was the first woman in 30 years to be taken on as a jazz saxophonist at the Lincoln Center Orchestra, directed by Wynton Marsalis, and now she comes to San Javier accompanied by the Darrell Green quartet. Also on the bill are the superband Take Me to The River All Stars, a group of musicians from New Orleans and dedicated to preserving the local sounds and those of Memphis. Starts 21.30, tickets 30 euros.
Tuesday July 7: Lizz Wright, one of the leading current jazz vocalists, returns to San Javier after 22 years with a selection of her most popular numbers from the eight albums she as released in the meantime, incorporating gospel, soul, jazz, blues and even folk. Starts 21.30, tickets 30 euros.
Friday July 10: Harmonia player Antonio Serrano returns with a new project alongside pianist Kaele Jiménez in which they blend jazz and flamenco accompanied by Marc Miralta on double bass and Josué “Ronkío” on bass guitar. They are followed on stage by The War And Treaty, a duo formed by Michael and Tany Trotter as they perform intimate soul, country, gospel and R&B numbers. Starts 21.30, tickets 20 euros.
Saturday July 11: Spanish trombonist Rafa M. Guillén and The Jazz Walkers present their mix of Brazilian and Cuban funk and flamenco rhythms accompanied by flautist and singer Amy Gaviria, before the Surinam-born singer Clarence Bekker remembers some of the great worldwide successes of funk and soul along with Berget Lewis. Starts 21.30, tickets 20 euros.
Sunday July 12: The Blue Horses, led by Cuban flautist Inoidel González, Spanish saxophonist Pablo García and Spanish/American vocalist Suzette Moncrief, offer a free concert at 20.00 at the Puerto Tomás Maestre in La Manga del Mar Menor.
Wednesday July 15: San Javier welcomes back Swedish multi-instrumentalist Gunhild Carling with her band Shakin’All and a programme of classical swing and jazz before this year’s Festival Prize winner Carles Benavent,one fo the finest bassists in Europe, performs with his usual trio. In his time Benavent has worked with giants of flamenco jazz such as Paco de Lucía, Camarón de la Isla and Chick Corea, and it is once again a privilege to be able to welcome him to the shore of the Mar Menor. Friday July 17: Luca Filastro, one of the great European pianists, presents his Harlem Piano Stride music along with his trio before another Italian, vocalist, Lara Ferrari, performs her versions of popular tunes from her native country. It’s then the turn of the British band Young Gun Silver Fox, with their West Coast soft rock. Starts 21.30, tickets 20 euros.
Saturday July 18: Ludovic Beier, one of the most widely acclaimed accordionists in the world, returns to Jazz San Javier with the Montmartre quartet and a programme influence by music from Brazil and the West Coast, He is followed by young Spanish pianist Chico Pérez, who is carrying on the traditions of Dorantes and Chano Domínguez with the help of five excellent musicians and flamenco vocalist Manuel Lombo. Starts 21.30, tickets 20 euros.
Sunday July 19: Minor Jazz Collective, featuring musicians from the San Javier Conservatorio de Música and the speciality of Jazz y Músicas Modernas, offer a free concert on the Explanada Barnuevo in Santiago de la Ribera, consisting of jazz, jazz flamenco and Latin jazz classics. The show begins at 22.00.
Wednesday July 22: Arguably the star turn of Jazz San Javier 2026, Pat Metheny returns to the Parque Almansa. One of the finest guitarists in the world, he has been especially influential in the field of jazz and arrives in San Javier for the fourth time to present his album Side Eyes III+ with no fewer than 20 Grammy awards to his name, garnered in a record 10 categories! Starts 22.00, tickets 50 euros.
Friday July 24: The final event of the 28th edition of Jazz San Javier is a very special one as two unique projects end proceedings for 2026. First, Lluís Coloma offers a specially created concert called “Rockin’ my blues in San Javier”, revisiting his 2011 album “Rockin’ my blues in Chicago”, and then the specially formed “Fusion Experience Quartet” brings together four great musicians: percussionist Dave Weckl,bassist and vocalist Richard Bona, pianist Michael Lecoq and guitarist Ciro Manna. Starts 21.30, tickets 20 euros.
