Alicante weather forecast October 19-22: Yellow alerts in place for heavy showers and thunderstorms
The Province of Alicante is facing another difficult day of weather on Monday October 19, with heavy showers and thunderstorms forecast after a weekend of torrential rain and flooding

AEMET has issued weather warnings across parts of the province, with the northern coast facing the greatest risk. The highest-level rain warnings are due to ease during the morning, but yellow alerts remain in place for further downpours and thunderstorms. Let's take a look at the daily breakdown:
Monday October 19
Monday is starting under very cloudy skies, with heavy showers and thunderstorms expected during the morning. The northern coast faces the greatest risk, with AEMET warning that rainfall could be torrential in the early hours. Downpours should gradually ease from south to north during the afternoon.
The combination of intense rainfall and already saturated ground could cause further problems on roads and around ramblas and other waterways. Temperatures will be relatively mild despite the poor weather, with highs of 25°C in Alicante city, 23°C in Elche, 22°C in Dénia and Orihuela, and 16°C in Alcoy.
Tuesday October 20
Tuesday should bring a welcome improvement, with some cloud during the morning giving way to clearer skies around midday. Maximum temperatures are expected to rise across the Province, with the biggest increases forecast in the north.
Alicante city could reach 28°C, while Elche is forecast to hit 27°C. Dénia and Orihuela should see highs of 26°C, with Alcoy reaching 23°C. Minimum temperatures will change little, so early mornings will still feel cooler than the afternoon highs suggest.
Wednesday October 21
Wednesday is expected to bring mostly clear skies and another warm day across much of the Province. Temperatures should remain fairly steady, with light to moderate westerly winds.
Alicante city could again reach 28°C, while Elche is forecast to hit 27°C. Orihuela should see a high of 26°C, with Dénia reaching 25°C and Alcoy 22°C. Minimum temperatures will range from 11°C in Alcoy to 16°C in Alicante city and Dénia.
Thursday October 22
Thursday should be mostly dry, with some cloud passing over the Province. Temperatures are forecast to dip slightly in several areas, although it should still feel warm during the afternoon.
Alicante city could reach 26°C, while Elche and Orihuela are forecast to see highs of 25°C. Dénia should reach 24°C, with Alcoy at 22°C. Minimum temperatures are expected to fall to 10°C in Alcoy, 12°C in Elche and Orihuela, 14°C in Alicante city and 15°C in Dénia.
Keep an eye on AEMET's latest weather updates, particularly while yellow warnings remain in place and conditions can change quickly. And with overnight temperatures dropping, it might finally be time to get the duvet back on the bed!
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante Province this week:

Monday October 19: Min 11; Max 25°C
Tuesday October 20: Min 11; Max 28°C
Wednesday October 21: Min 11; Max 28°C
