As autumn brings grey skies and cooler weather to Northern Europe, many look south for sunshine and warmth. A destination, in the heart of Andalucía, now receiving attention for its favourable climate is Córdoba. Further north, Bilbao emerges as a popular winter getaway rich in culture and cuisine. Known as a “gastronomic paradise,” the city offers delights such as buttery pastries from Pastelería Arrese, coffee and txakoli wine at Café Iruña, and inventive seafood dishes, including grilled kokotxas and Iberian pork shoulder paired with passion fruit.
