October 12 Classical jazz with Dan Barrett & Enric Peidro Quintet at Jazzazza in the outskirts of Murcia

Trombonist Dan Barrett at the hippest venue in town on the National Day of Spain!

The 20^th anniversary festival of the Jazzazza club in Algezares, a few kilometres east of the city of Murcia, continues on the national holiday of Saturday October 12 with a show featuring Dan Barrett & The Enric Peidro Quintet.

Dan Barrett is currently among the lading internationally acclaimed jazz trombonists and has completed well over 100 recordings during his career. He has worked in the orchestras of Benny Goodman, Woody Herman and Buck Clayton and with artists such as Rosemary Clooney, Mel Tormé and Tony Bennett.

In addition, he has appeared in films including Cotton Club and the Woody Allen productions Everyone Says I Love you and Wild Man Blues.

Accompanying him is tenor saxophonist Enric Peidro, whose roots lie in swing music, pianist Gerald Nieto, double bassist Queralt Camps and percussionist Xavi Hinojosa.

Tickets for the event are priced at 16 euros – all tables are already booked at 26 euros per head – and the doors open at Jazzazza at 21.00. Bookings may be made online here.
