A cooler start to the autumn: Andalucía weather forecast September 1-4
Stable, sunny weather will get gradually warmer as the week goes on
Just a little high cloud over Almería this Monday afternoon
The month, and the meteorological autumn, begins with a significant drop in temperatures in the interior of the Mediterranean flank of Andalucía.
The heat will creep up again, particularly inland, on Wednesday and Thursday, but there is not likely to be much cloud or wind during the week.
Monday, September 1
Temperatures at about 5pm
There will be pleasant temperatures of between 31-32ºC across most of the region of Andalucía today, including Málaga on the coast, with Córdoba the hottest at 33ºC, but a few places at higher altitude in Jáen and Granada provinces only reaching 23ºC.
Minimum temperatures inland will be around 15-17ºC, and 21-22ºC on the coast in Málaga and Almería respectively, while the high and low for Cádiz are 26 and 19ºC.
The skies will be mostly clear, with some high cloud in the west of the region around midday, and in the east later this afternoon.
There will be light to moderate north-easterly breezes, with intervals of stronger westerly wind on the Mediterranean coast and around the Strait.
Tuesday, September 2
Intervals of high cloud in the morning
No significant weather phenomena are expected tomorrow, with clear skies other than some intervals of high cloud early in the day.
Minimum temperatures are likely to drop a bit in the eastern third of the region, but remain unchanged elsewhere.
Maximum temperatures should be the same as on Monday along the coast but higher elsewhere.
Only light variable breezes are expected, predominantly from the north.
Wednesday, September 3
Sunny skies across the region
Clear skies and higher temperatures in general are forecast for Wednesday, although they should remain about the same along the coast.
Córdoba is likely to get the hottest, at 36ºC, with Sevilla and Granada next at 35ºC, while Cádiz and Málaga will be the coolest at 28 and 29ºC respectively.
Only light variable breezes are expected all day.
Thursday, September 4
Highs and lows for Thursday
A similar story is predicted for Thursday, with maximum temperatures rising slightly in a few areas, including Córdoba, Granada and Málaga, but remaining the same in others.
There may be more cloud on Friday and it may rain in Almería on Saturday.
