Get down to the former Bar Salud on Sector B for the grand opening of Bridie Murphy’s this weekend!
This weekend promises to be full of fun and surprises as it is the official opening of the popular bar Bridie Murphy’s! Formerly known as Bar Salud, located on the commercial centre sector B in Camposol, this weekend promises to be very memorable.Nicola McArdle and her partner Declan took over ownership of this already popular bar in September 2024 and it just got better and better from then. The reason for the name change is simple.
Nicola grew up in the very loving household of her grandmother ‘Bridie Murphy’ and this is a tribute to her. She was a kind, witty, generous person with a general store, attached to the family home. She also was renowned for having an amazing sense of humour.
The bar has been tastefully and extensively refurbished y Nicola and Declan, and has a very warm and welcoming feel. This could be due to the fact that, perhaps unusually, all the bar staff are female!Nicola, Nicky, Sheryl, Julie and Fran go out of their way to make all their customers feel welcome. Many single people (especially female) feel able to go to the bar alone, knowing that there is always someone to talk to which is a great asset to a community like Camposol.
The bar atmosphere is not only friendly, but it is warm and cosy in the winter and beautifully cool in the summer. There is an extensive outside terrace, too, giving extra space to accommodate so many customers.
There is loads of weekly entertainment all managed by, and including our local fabulous saxophonist, Byron Greenaway. This weekend will be no exception to the quality of entertainment we have come to expect. Dermot & Sinead, and The Fabulous Bonker Boys, will all be making a special trip from Ireland to mark the event and must not be missed.
