Introduction to Las Terrazas de la Torre Golf Resort
A basic overview of life and property on Terrazas de la Torre Golf Resort
Las Terrazas de la Torre Golf Resort, with its Saurines de la Torre golf course, is a residential golfing resort in the Region of Murcia, Spain.
Las Terrazas, as it is known, was built by the Polaris World developer and first opened in 2010. This was one of the resorts started at the end of the property boom and the superb golf course is one of the most popular among the Region’s many to choose from, offering not only a challenge for golfers but also beautiful views for spectators.
Its undulating fairways and greens make for a striking contrast with the flat dry countryisde outside the resort, an oasis in a desert dotted with other similar projects, including the elder sister of this one, La Torre Golf Resort, just a couple of miles away, a fully completed resort with a raft of facilities.
Streets and roundabouts on the resort have been named after sportsmen and women who have won the Príncipe de Asturias Sports prize.
A supermarket meets basic shopping needs and there are some restaurant facilities, plus many shopping and eating out options available off-resort. The best way for visitors to get around when moving in the environs of the resort is by renting a hire car.
The resort is centrally located, with convenient connections to the nearby Corvera airport (30 mins) and Alicante airport (1 hour) as well as the many beaches of the Mar Menor and Mediterranean coastline (20 minutes) and the major cities of Cartagena and Murcia (each 30 minutes).
The resort offers a choice of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroomed apartments. The area known as La Isla (The Island) which offers water views on three sides and includes apartments on three levels is approximately 50% completed. Sale prices reflect the lower occupation, offering a lot of bricks per euro compared to some of the other resorts.
